Summer is the peak time for our plethora of local farmers markets. Find picked-that-morning produce from area farms, plus fresh flowers, naturally raised meats, artisan cheeses and breads, organic wine and much more.

Berthoud: Saturdays 9 a.m.-1 p.m. beginning June 23 at the southeast corner of Fickel Park. www.­berthoudlocal.org.

Boulder: Saturdays 8 a.m.-2 p.m. and Wednesdays 4-8 p.m. on 13th Street between Canyon Boulevard and Arapahoe Avenue. www.bcfm.org.

Erie: Thursdays 5-8 p.m. through Sept. 20 on Briggs Street between Wells and Moffatt streets. www.realfarmersmarketco.com.

Frederick: Thursdays 4-8 p.m. at Crist Park, 105 Fifth St. www.frederickco.gov.
