From 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 4-10, visit Boulder’s Courthouse Plaza (1325 Pearl St.) for an interactive exhibit called Forced From Home, presented by Doctors Without Borders that will take visitors beyond the headlines of the global refugee crisis. With an experienced
aid worker as their guide, visitors navigate a 10,000-square-foot, outdoor installation designed to convey some of the challenges confronting a person forced to flee. Throughout the tour, visitors engage with stories and materials gathered from refugee camps, sea rescue missions and emergency medical projects about displaced individuals and families from Iraq, Lebanon, Mexico, Tanzania and South Sudan.
The free exhibit provides a unique educational experience for adults and children ages 12 and older, and Doctors Without Borders volunteers will be on-site to answer questions. For more information, visit www.forcedfromhome.com/locations/courthouse-plaza.
